History
The Taymouth Township Library used to be the old school. We renovated one room in 1979 by a group of volunteers. The first year of operation was strictly volunteers. We started our collection with discards from the Saginaw Public Libraries. In 1985 we incorporated the second room. We than built an addition that is now our present library.
We now have a collection of over 15,000 books, tapes, and videos. Our internet access consists of 6 public computers.
Financial support
Township, state funds, and penal fines.
Friends Group
We have a Friends group of 14 people. They help with the bake sale, fund raising, and a Sled of Goodies drawing in December. Also anything else that may be needed during the year.
Board of Trustees Library trustees consist of the Township Board. They meet the second Wednesday of the month. |
